Instructions to Link Crystal Reports to Peachtree data for Crystal v9 Magnetic Stripe Readers

 
  1. Crystal reports MUST be installed on the machine you will be using to link your new reports to your company data.
  2. Copy the report to your Company’s data directory (see Maintain àCompany Information for data).
  3. Start Peachtree and open your company.
  4. From the Reports menu, open Crystal Reports, select the one of the standard reports (Customer Detail List v9) & click Design.
  5. Start Peachtree and open your company.
  6. From the Reports menu, open Crystal Reports, select the one of the standard reports (Customer Detail List v9) & click Design.
  7. From inside the Crystal Reports Designer, Select Database àVerify Database.
  8. Open each of the new reports in your company folder one at a time; verify the database as above and save each report.
  9. If you do this with a crw-v8 report file or from report written for a prior version of Peachtree, you may be required to re-map any variables that have changed names.
  10. When verification is complete click FileàSave & close the window.
  11. MAKE SURE to SAVE the report before closing it!
